GENERAL QUESTIONS

Jesus was the first to coin the phrase “born again” when he spoke to Nicodemus in the gospels.

It is a reference to the spiritual transformation that takes place as one comes into faith relationship with Christ when accepting Him as Lord and Savior.

The spiritual inner part of one’s makeup comes alive by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit causing one to become a “new creation”. If you would like to know more about how to be born again, please contact us and we will be glad to sit down with you and answer all your questions.

If you desire to be born again, simply pray this prayer…

“Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned. Thank you for shedding your blood so that I could have forgiveness, cleansing and eternal life. I put all my faith in what you did for me on the cross and I receive you into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me right now from the wrath to come. By your Holy Spirit I am becoming a new creation in Christ and I am no longer the same person. Thank you that my name is now written in heaven and you are preparing a place for me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen”.

My friend, if you prayed that prayer and you meant it with all your heart, then you are now born again and you no doubt feel a great peace! God bless you!

If you would like to grow in your born again experience please contact us and we will be thrilled to help you. We have free literature that is just what you need right now.

The difference between “cult” and Christian is what is believed concerning Christ, i.e., who He is and what He has done.

Who is Jesus?

He is the eternal, infinite, Almighty God and Creator of the universe.

As God the Son He shares equally all the same attributes of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, and these Three [Trinity] are One.

What did Jesus do?

He, as the holy, sinless, perfect Lamb of God, was born of virgin, died on the cross and shed His blood for the sins of the world, and was afterward raised from the dead and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. He is the only Way, the only Truth and the only Life and His name is the only name whereby mankind must be saved. There is no salvation or eternal life apart from a personal faith relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Therefore, to trust in anyone or anything else apart from Jesus for salvation is critically where cultism begins. This belief is the essence of what chiefly differenciates the cults from Christians.

For more in depth study on this subject refer to Walter Martin’s book entitled “Kingdom Of The Cults”.

SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE

Our Sunday morning service starts at 11:00 a.m. You don’t want to be late and miss an awesome time of worship!

Our time of worship usually lasts 35 to 45 minutes. This is followed by the receiving of tithes and offerings and a brief time of greeting as the children leave the sanctuary for Children’s church. Annoucements follow and then Pastor presents the Word of God through his sermon.

At the end of the sermon, the congregation is invited to come forward for a time of prayer and dismissal. Anyone who desires personal prayer can approach a prayer team member to receive this personal touch from God.

This concludes the service. It is usually around 1:00 p.m. at this time.

Standing and raising your hands during worship are not gestures that are required. Most of our church family do this out of love and respect for our Father God. He is to be honored, so we desire to stand in His Presence.

We desire to receive more of His love and touch, so we raise our hands as a gesture of surrender to Him. You will notice that some people go to the front of the sanctuary. Some people kneel at the front or at their seat. This is all personal preference.

We are open to what God and Holy Spirit want to do during our service. You are welcome to sit during Worship if that is what you desire to do.

We believe children should worship Father God along with the adults. Our children are free to go to the front of the sanctuary to wave flags and worship together.

We ask that you supervise your child until they understand it’s not a time of unfocused playtime. You will notice there are adults in the front of the sanctuary who guide their children into worship.

Our nursery is typically not staffed until after worship, but if your nursery age (birth to 3 years) is fussing and needs to be taken out, you may tend to them in our nursery.

Children’s church is for 4 years old to 11 years old and takes place during the sermon time.

Children 12 years and older are expected to remain in the sanctuary with their parents during the sermon.

Children’s church begins upstairs in the conference room. A Bible lesson is taught with the use of a video.

After the teaching time, the children are taken downstairs to the fellowship hall where games are played and a snack is served.
